Victoria Tachinski of Vincent Massey Collegiate in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada won her 400-meter prelim heat in 58.54 at the 38th Simplot Games at Idaho State University's Holt Arena. Tachinski won the 400 last year in a Canadian youth record 54.05.
